- Nose
- Orange zest, incense and peat smoke. A shrine on Islay.Fleshy fruits, black olive with assertive smoke, buddleia, hardtoffee and roasting sweet spice. The balsamic note suggests age.
- Palate
- Big smoke and a solid mix of fruit cake and tarred twine. Substantial and complex, though needing a touch of water to show it's got a gentle and fruity side.
- Finish
- A smooth build-up of all the complexities on the palate.
- Comment
- Refined, bold but elegant. Buy one.

- Nose
- Peat takes its time to filter through temple spices, burnt heather and warmed leather. A hint of bitter olive as well.
- Palate
- Warm and earthy. Slightly coal dusty with sumptuous cake and dried fruit notes.
- Finish
- Takes its time to show its true colours.
- Comment
- Another belter from Yoichi. Good stuff.
