Nose
Orange zest, incense and peat smoke. A shrine on Islay.Fleshy fruits, black olive with assertive smoke, buddleia, hardtoffee and roasting sweet spice. The balsamic note suggests age.
Palate
Big smoke and a solid mix of fruit cake and tarred twine. Substantial and complex, though needing a touch of water to show it's got a gentle and fruity side.
Finish
A smooth build-up of all the complexities on the palate.
Comment
Refined,bold but elegant. Buy one.

Nose
Peat takes its time to filter through temple spices, burnt heather and warmed leather. A hint of bitter olive as well.
Palate
Warm and earthy. Slightly coal dusty with sumptuous cake and dried fruit notes.
Finish
Takes its time to show its true colours.
Comment
Another belter from Yoichi. Good stuff.
