St George Single Malt Lot 9
Single Malt - U.S.A. - 43.00% 6 The Californian St George, not the Norfolk one. One of the finest craft distillers
Bowen's Whiskey Small Batch, Handcrafted American Whiskey
Non Bourbon - U.S.A. - 45.00% 7 Despite being quaffable, this seems like a work in progress, which needs a little more time in the cask to allow the spirit to balance out a touch more.
Sonoma County Cherrywood Rye Whiskey
Rye - U.S.A. - 48.00% 6 This should have been given a lot more time in the cask, it's been bottled far too early and thus it's very difficult to evaluate because of the impurities that haven't been removed by the oak.
Single Malt - U.S.A. - 62.10% 8 Despite the 'Old', a new rye. The idea was to get closer to what the first American ryes might have been. I like the idea. Wins points for all-rye character and assertiveness.
St George Single Malt
Single Malt - U.S.A. - 43.00% 6 Knowing that this distillery began with eau-de-vie, I hope I am not being suggestible, but I find the fruitiness of this whisky overwhelming.
