Canadian whisky Bearface has made its UK retail debut with Bearface Triple Oak. Stocked in Tesco stores nationwide, the whisky is available to consumers now.
Named for the Bear Country that its distillery calls home, and inspired by Canadian flavours, Bearface whisky was launched in 2019, with the Triple Oak its debut expression.
Distilled from 100 per cent corn, Bearface Triple Oak is aged for a minimum of seven years. The liquid is matured first in ex-bourbon American oak barrels, then ‘Elementally Aged’ in French red oak red wine casks and air-dried virgin Hungarian oak.
The trademarked ‘Elemental Ageing’ technique is fundamental to the brand’s process. The casks are exposed to the extreme Canadian climate, the elements of nature affecting the maturation process. Once matured, the casks are blended for a balance of flavours and spice.
Andres Faustinelli, master blender at Bearface, shared: “When you taste the deconstructed whiskies, you’ll discover that Bearface Triple Oak is transformed by the French and Hungarian oaks and the Elemental Ageing process we expose our whisky to up here in Bear Country.”
Retailing at £36, Bearface Canadian whisky is available at Tesco stores nationwide and online.
