Burns Crystal, known for its handcrafted, traditional Scottish glassware, is revealing a new look as part of a relaunch campaign this season, in a bid to elevate it to first choice for consumers looking for Scottish gifts with heritage. The relaunch sees the creation of a whole new brand in terms of colour and design, alongside the curation of a new website, online shop and social media channels.

The glassware range features handcrafted glasses specially designed for whisky, gin, wine and champagne, many of which are engraved with Scottish-themed designs. There’s also an opportunity for consumers to find out if they have a Scottish clan name connected to a family crest, which can then be added onto the chosen glassware.

In addition to glassware, Burns Crystal offers a selection of Scottish-themed handcrafted gifts including a crystal Celtic cross and fun Loch Ness Monster ornaments. The company’s Valentine’s Day gift guide can be found here.

The company was originally established 35 years ago by a professional crystal cutter, Donald Kay. It was acquired in 2015 by the Scottish family-run Glencairn Crystal Studio, creators of the Glencairn Glass.

Jason Kennedy, sales director at Glencairn Crystal, said, “We are incredibly proud of our Scottish heritage – it’s an exciting opportunity for us to give Burns Crystal an image refresh and reset alongside, but still separate to, our existing Glencairn Crystal product offering.

Here at Glencairn we have more than 40 years of experience in the crystal market – we strive to provide a first-class professional, committed and friendly service to all customers, with family values remaining at the heart of everything we do.”

The Burns Crystal range is available now, offering affordable quality gifts and glassware (prices range from just under £10 to £50).
