Despite all that this year has thrown at them, the makers of Octomore have been busily ticking off their to-do list; with the launch of the No Hidden Measures campaign, becoming B Corp certified, and the launch of Port Charlotte OLC:01, to name a few.

Now the Scotch whisky maker, based at Bruichladdich Distillery, is back with its new Octomore 11s series. This Autumn launch brings forth a range of single malt expressions with one interlinking factor: the use of heavy peat.

Known for taking risks, the brand continues to focus on quality and not quantity with this range that consists of Octomore 11.1, 11.2, 11.3, and 10 Years Old.

On creating the Octomore 11 series, Bruichladdich’s head distiller, Adam Hannett commented: “Octomore… it’s that moment when the rules change. You just have to trust in your instincts. There’s no questioning whether we’ve made the right choices with our Scottish barley, fermentation time, in the patient distillation or the oak we’ve filled. From that point on, you just have to relinquish control and let the liquid lead you. It’s like you’ve got to take a leap of faith… close your eyes and jump… see where you land.”

The range will be available on 1st October from specialist retailers and the Bruichladdich.com online shop.
