This cocktail, dreamt up by Sebastien Derbomez, cocktail bartender and William Grant & Sons manager of brand advocacy USA, is inspired by the bitter, sophisticated Negroni. A classic Negroni is made with equal parts gin, Campari, and vermouth.

Derbomez' version sits somewhere between that and a Boulevardier (rye whiskey, Campari, vermouth), using Glenfiddich's solera-aged 15-year-old whisky, which will bring its own dried-fruit and baked-good notes to the mix.

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts Glenfiddich Solera 15 Year Old
  • 1 part Campari
  • 1 part sweet vermouth

Method:

Place a 2-inch ice cube in a rocks glass and set aside. In a mixing glass, combine Glenfiddich Solera 15 Year Old, Campari, and sweet vermouth. Stir over ice until well chilled, to enhance the whisky’s silky smooth taste. Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with an orange twist.
