Canadian specialty tea retailer DAVIDsTEA and The Glenlivet have collaborated to bring you a twist on a cold-weather classic – this rather unusual tea-based hot toddy.

The Pumpkin Hot Toddy

Ingredients
1 sachet of DAVIDsTEA Pumpkin Crème Brûlée tea blend
¾ cup hot water
¼ tsp maple syrup (or brown sugar)
1 oz/30 ml The Glenlivet 12 Years Old
Orange slice and rind
2 dashes orange bitters (optional)
1 dash cinnamon powder (or a cinnamon stick)

Method
Steep 1 sachet of Pumpkin Crème Brûlée in ¾ cup of hot water (95°C/200°F) for 5+ minutes. Remove sachet and stir in the maple syrup. Pour in the whisky, then add 1 slice of orange and 2 dashes of orange bitters. Garnish with the orange rind and a dash of cinnamon powder or a cinnamon stick.
