Cocktail of the week: Sagamore Whiskey Paloma

This week's cocktail is the perfect rye whiskey serve

Been a long week? This recipe from Sagamore Spirit is the perfect way to see in the weekend. Pairing Sagamore’s signature rye with sweet honey and refreshing grapefruit juice, this cocktail ticks all the boxes. Big on flavour, but simple to prepare, this is certainly a crowd-pleaser – full ingredients and method below!


45 ml Sagamore Spirit Signature Rye Whiskey
30 ml honey simple syrup (add honey to taste)
120 ml fresh grapefruit juice (or the juice of one large grapefruit)
Splash of soda water
Slice of grapefruit to garnish


Fill a mixing glass and a tumbler glass with ice. Add the whiskey, honey simple syrup, and grapefruit juice to the mixing glass and stir for 10-15 seconds. Strain the contents of the mixing glass into your tumbler and top with a splash of soda water. Garnish with the grapefruit slice.
