This week's cocktail recipe comes courtesy of Seaton House, a luxury hotel in St Andrews. This cocktail is offered as a welcome to guests — and with this recipe, you can also make it at home.
At Seaton House, the cocktail is made with two whiskies: Kingsbarns' Doocot single malt Lowland Scotch, and Bushmills 10-year-old single malt. Complementing the whiskies are summery flavours: apple, lemon, and mint.
Ingredients:
25ml of Kingsbarns Doocot single malt
25ml of Bushmills 10-year-old single malt
10ml green chartreuse
10ml sugar syrup
15ml lemon juice
30ml apple juice
Tonic water
2 mint leaves, to garnish
Method:
Build the whiskies, chartreuse, sugar syrup, lemon juice, and apple juice in a highball glass over ice. Stir, and top with tonic. Garnish with the mint leaves.
