Aged in ex-bourbon barrels for a minimum of 20 years and offered without added colour or chill-filtration, Timorous Beastie 20 Years Old (42.7% ABV) is described as a harmonious marriage of bold, contrasting spicy and sweet flavours, including toasted marshmallow and cinnamon.
Released to the UK market on Burns Night, this new limited edition comprises just 297 bottles. Robert Burns’ poem ‘To a mouse’ is the Timorous Beastie brand’s namesake.
Cara Laing, director of marketing in her family business, said, “The packaging may look cute and unassuming, but the hearty Highland whisky inside is certainly not for the fainthearted… Our new limited-edition 20 Years Old brings to life the brand’s bold, ‘beastly’ side, exhibiting the complex flavours you would expect from a quality, aged Highland malt with bite.”
With an RRP of £100, Timorous Beastie 20 Years Old will be available from selected specialist retailers within the UK.
