Only 155 bottles of the Old Particular Single Cask have been made available in the bottle run for DouglasLaing.com. The packaging befits the limited-edition whisky: it comes in a hand-wax-dipped bottle in a wooden gift box.
The single cask selected for the bottling is an Invergordon 22 Years Old Single Grain at a natural cask strength of 48.9% ABV. Bottled without colouring or chill filtration, Douglas Laing says the whisky would be a good match for Easter chocolate – and it has brought this connection to life on the label with illustrations of flowers, bees and rabbits.
Cara Laing, director of whisky at Douglas Laing and the third generation in the family business, said: "Our Old Particular spring bottling celebrates the hope and green shoots that springtime brings. With notes of cinnamon and chocolate, we selected this single cask for bottling many months ago on the basis that it would be the perfect accompaniment to some Easter chocolate indulgences. It now seems particularly fitting that it also marks the coming of spring and hopefully brighter days."
Old Particular The Easter Edition is available exclusively on DouglasLaing.com with delivery available across the UK, Europe and selected Asian markets. The UK retail price is £85 plus shipping (other countries will vary with local taxes).
