Laphroaig 1960s 10 Years Old — US Carlton Import
This Laphroaig is from the golden age of Islay distilling, and reportedly one of the best drams whisky-expert Emmanuel Dron has ever tasted. An extremely scarce US import, rarely seen on the secondary market, the bottling appears in Whisky Auctioneer’s June auction.
The Macallan The Reach 81 Years Old is a testimony to Macallan’s legacy. 200 years since its founding, Whisky Auctioneer’s June auction contains over 400 bottles from the Speyside distillery, with many high age statements accompanying The Reach. Three bottles of the Macallan Red Label are listed, following the success of the 71 Years Old in May’s auction, as well as a 40 Years Old Italian Import from the 1970s.
The brand Thosop was the independent bottling company belonging to Belgian whisky lover Luc Timmermans. This month, a range of its miniature and full-size bottles appear at Whisky Auctioneer, including a stunning Port Ellen 1978. It is accompanied by releases from distilleries around Scotland, showcasing everything from big names such Glen Grant to rarely seen single malt from Teaninich.
