The Glen Grant distillery has announced a new addition to its single malt whisky range.

The Speyside distiller's 15 Years Old Single Malt Scotch whisky is said to offer an 'intensified expression' of its signature style.

It joins the 10, 12 and 18 Years Old expressions in Glen Grant's core range, which sit alongside a series of limited-edition releases.

Glen Grant's master distiller Dennis Malcolm – who recently celebrated 60 years in the industry – crafted the single malt whisky, which was matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and bottled without chill filtration at a 'batch strength' of 50% ABV.

Tasting notes supplied by Glen Grant say the 15 Years Old has aromas of fresh citrus, florals, honeydew melon and caramel, with notes of honey, spiced pear, apricot marmalade and vanilla on the palate and a nutty finish.

Of the new release, Dennis Malcolm said: "If the expressions were my children, I would have to say the 15 Years Old is my favourite."

The release follows Glen Grant's unveiling of a new packaging design earlier this year and comes as the distillery prepares to launch its 60 Years Old anniversary edition.

The Glen Grant 15 Years Old will be available to purchase exclusively from The Whisky Exchange online from 10 August, and in selected retailers.
