InchDairnie Distillery has revealed its first single malt Scotch whisky bottlings. The arrival of KinGlassie Double Matured 8 Years Old and KinGlassie Raw 8 Years Old marks the distiller's first single malt range. InchDairnie is known for RyeLaw, a single grain whisky made with Scottish-grown rye which launched in 2023.
InchDairinie says the new KinGlassie range is designed to "reveal new dimension in smoke". The name 'KinGlassie' comes from the Irish 'Saint Glaisne', meaning 'church by the burn', and is also the name of a village close to the distillery.
KinGlassie Double Matured is a heavily peated whisky, which the distillery says has been double distilled and double condensed for "more copper contact to remove sulphur notes". The whisky was first matured for five years in bourbon casks, before being transferred to amontillado casks for a further three years. InchDairnie says the Double Matured has notes of smoke, tobacco, and almonds.
Also heavily peated, KinGlassie Raw was aged for its full eight years in American oak ex-bourbon casks. The distillery says this release has a "smouldering fireplace" quality, with sweet and malty flavours.

KinGlassie Double Matured (46.3% ABV, RRP £79) is available from 8th May via specialist whisky retailers. KinGlassie Raw (46.3% ABV) is available from 8th May exclusively from the Whisky Exchange and Speciality Drinks for one month, then will be available via additional specialist retailers.
