InchDairnie Distillery has announced a trilogy of small-batch whiskies. The limited-edition Sample Room Range will be available exclusively from the Whisky Shop.
The new range is a celebration of the spirit of experimentation that motivates InchDairnie, and the distillery’s willingness to resist tradition.
The trilogy features the Leven, a blend of single distillery rye and single malt from Amontillado casks, and the Balgonie, blended from single distillery rye and peated single malt. Concluding the trilogy is InchDairnie’s first peated expression, the Pitkevy, a peated single malt partially aged in Palo Cortado casks.
Scott Sneddon, distilling director at InchDairnie, commented: “InchDairnie’s new Sample Room Range is the second official release from the distillery and gives whisky enthusiasts a glimpse into the innovative approach that we have here. I’ve been with InchDairnie since the site was a green field, assisting with the build and installation, but we are only now realising its full potential to when it comes to extracting flavour.
“My team and I have experimented with unique materials, advanced distilling methods and carefully selected casks to push the boundaries of Scotch whisky conventions and this new Single Distillery range is just a sneak preview.”
InchDairnie’s first release was RyeLaw Fife Single Grain Scotch Whisky, which was recently honoured in the Whisky Magazine Awards Scotland 2024. In summer 2023, the distillery announced it had started production of ‘Scottish pot still whisky’.
The Sample Room Range is available via the Whisky Shop now. Just 390 bottles of each expression have been released.
