Billed as an elevated, smoky version of Mackmyra’s classic Brukswhisky (a nod to the original distillery at Mackmyra Bruk), this 44% ABV single malt is aged solely at Bodås mine, which the distillery now uses as an underground storage facility.
Mackmyra’s ‘Moment’ series of limited editions is designed to showcase casks with a particularly interesting profile.
The Swedish distillery says the Moment Brukswhisky DLX II exhibits notes of ripe pears, raisins and citrus fruits, along with smoke, peat, and juniper. The whisky is between 9 and 11 years old, natural colour, and limited to 1,999 bottles, with an RRP of £109/€122.49.
