Scottish whisky maker Tomatin Distillery has announced an online auction of rare whiskies in support of its long-time charity partner Maggie's Highlands.
The auction will be hosted and supported by The Grand Whisky Auction and is expecting to raise in the region of £10,000 to help the charity's cancer support network in the Highlands and Islands.
The sale will include a one-off opportunity to purchase a new fill ex-Bourbon Tomatin barrel; the lucky bidder will get the chance to fill their own cask on site and roll it into the warehouse, where it will be kept until it reaches maturity.
An array of other vintage products are going under the hammer including a 1967 cask, bottled in 1997 to celebrate Tomatin's centenary, and a 5cl bottle of the distillery's oldest whisky to date, a 50 years old. Also among the 11 lots is a tour of the Tomatin distillery led by master distiller Graham Eunson, including a bespoke tasting and lunch.
Graham Eunson said: "It feels special to open up the Tomatin archives for such a great cause. This has been an extremely difficult time for the charity sector, and we hope to raise some much-needed funds to support Maggie's in continuing the specialist support it provides. The auction will also offer the public and investors a remarkable opportunity to purchase some priceless products and experiences."

The money raised by this auction will enable us to continue providing vital support to cancer patients here in the Highlands."
