A weekend at Rothes Glen, The Luxury Castle for Whisky Connoisseurs has been listed for auction alongside the six-bottle Rothes Glen Artist Collection created in collaboration with La Maison du Whisky. The exclusive lot has been included in the Whisky Live Paris 2024 charity auction, an annual occasion aligned with Whisky Live Paris.
The lot includes a weekend stay at Rothes Glen. Designed by Charles Doig, architect renowned for his whisky distilleries designs, and located in the heart of Speyside, the castle is a destination for whisky enthusiasts worldwide. The castle can accommodate up to 28 guests, and for the winning bidder will be made private for the weekend. The fully-staffed castle includes a private chef and 14 double rooms. The experience includes a tailored programme with a Gordon & MacPhail tasting. The stay has been estimated to be worth around £35,000.
In addition to the stay at Rothes Glen, the winning bidder will receive six single malt whiskies from the fourteenth iteration of La Maison du Whisky's Artist Collection, released in collaboration with Rothes Glen and featured in its Foundations catalogue. Each collection from the series has labels created by a different artist; the fourteenth edition features work by American-Nigerian artist Victor Ekpuk.
The collection include six single malt, single cask whiskies from Aberlour, Glenburgie, Highland Park, Laphroaig, Longmorn, and Macallan. The whiskies were distilled between 1991 and 2013, and are all bottled at cask strength.
All proceeds from the Whisky Live Paris 2024 charity auction will be donated to projects run by the Good Planet Foundation. The auction is open now via Fine Spirits Auction until Friday 4 October at 3pm BST.
