The Glenlivet is celebrating its past and looking toward the future this year to mark its 200th anniversary. Kicking off the celebrations is the launch of The Glenlivet 200 Year Anniversary Limited Edition 12 Years Old.
The limited-edition bottling is matured in 100 per cent first fill American oak casks. Tasting notes as supplied by the brand are of ripe, juicy pear, coconut shavings and creamy vanilla, complemented by aromas of fresh tangerines, pineapple slices and indulgent crème caramel.
Artwork for the 12 Years Old was selected through a crowdsourcing campaign to source art that captures The Glenlivet ethos of ‘forever moving forwards’, and the winning design pictured above was created by Studio Berdi of Colombia.
