The Boisdale Life Editors Lunch returned in June for its annual celebration and awards ceremony. Held at Boisdale Canary Wharf, London, the event honoured journalists as well as wine and spirits producers.
First published in 2014, Boisdale Life is a yearly magazine which highlights British culture, literature, and the arts. The annual awards ceremony was this year hosted by William Sitwell, restaurant critic and Masterchef judge, and Natasha Hamilton of Atomic Kitten.
Among the award winners was Tomintoul for Boisdale Life Whisky Producer of the Year 2024, presented by Damian Riley-Smith of Whisky Magazine. Master blender and global brand ambassador Iain Forteath received the award.
Other winning wine and spirits producers included Highclere Castle Gin and Chapel Down Winery.
Also presented were an array of journalism awards, which saw Tom Parker Bowles named Boisdale Life Spirits Writer of the Year and Jane Anson awarded Boisdale Life Wine Writer of the Year.
The 2024 lunch marked the publication’s 10th anniversary, as well as the 35th anniversary of Boisdale itself. The venue was established in 1989 and plays host to live music, fine dining, and cultural experiences. Boisdale, as well as the Boisdale Life magazine, aims to celebrate British culture, arts, and food and drink.
