Whisky Magazine has today launched the beginning of a new weekly tastings series, titled Tastings Thursday, hosted by its editor Bradley Weir.

Following today’s introductory video Episode 0 — which can be on Whisky Magazine’s YouTube channel and Instagram — a new episode will be live every single Thursday, talking through the various flavour profiles of whiskies all around the world.

Episodes 1—5 will be exploring the five beloved regions of Scotch whisky: Islay; Campbeltown; Speyside; Highlands and Lowland. Two whiskies that have featured previously in the magazine’s tastings section will be tasted in each of the five episodes, with Bradley talking through the expected notes that correlate with each region, and the similarities and differences between expressions of the same region.

These bitesize episodes of 60 — 90 seconds are designed to give a brief but accurate informed portrayal of the flavour profiles.
