Nose

Intense and grainy with plenty of coffeed oak, dried fruit, thyme, cocoa, gorse and heather. Deep with luscious light honey.\n

Palate

Opens with the soft, toffeed and cocoa laced oak. Hints of grainy spirit and dried fruit followed with coffee. Gently honeyed but the emphasis is definitely on the grainy character.

Finish

Medium length with the oak dampening the vitality and leaving the finish quite oily.

Comment

A grain whisky perhaps? The palate doesn’t display the complexity of the nose due to the encroaching oak, but it’s pleasant enough.
