Nose

Phenolic and marine. Oysters, creosote, tar. Some sweetness in the back. Aniseed lollipop. A mineral touch. Hint of smoke at start but more in time.

Palate

Sweet and mouthcoating. Satin-like texture. A salty sensation. Less iodinic on the palate than on the nose. Water tends to weaken the flavours.

Finish

Smoky, spicy. Refreshing liquorice.

Comment

The nose is more attractive than the palate. Obviously an Islander. Pleasant springtime outdoor dram though.
