Tasting Notes

Dave Broom

Taster

Nose: Very pretty, lightly floral. Cut grass, lemon peel, Edinburgh rock, sweets, coconut cream. With water, spikier and a hint of immaturity.

Palate: Clean and crispier than the nose suggests. Fresh flowers, light summer fruits. Floats over the palate. Fragrant and attractive.

Finish: Soft.

Comment: A good example from a shamefully overlooked distillery.

Score: 7.8

Taster

Nose: Light, dry, lime peels?

Palate: Light, dry. Petal-like. Green. Chlorophyll. Some late vanilla. Herbal.

Finish: Dried out. Drying.

Comment: Tired and irritable when first poured, but gradually opens up, more so when water was added.
