Nose

Honey and toasted almonds offer a welcoming start. There are warm pears in syrup, a bit of fudge, and something slightly floral too.

Palate

Gently stewed apples and pears, some aniseed, and a touch of soft brown sugar make for a comforting palate.

Finish

Short to medium finish, with a good bit of heat left lingering.

Comment

A pleasing whisky, if not the most complex. One to share with friends over an evening when the conversation is racing along.
