Palate: Earthy, savoury, complex, with nutty and oak later.

Finish: Long with oak and fruit notes.

Comment: Like the new Ardmore,an acquired but complex taste worth working on.

Nose: Meaty,oak framed. Distinctive sherry influence. Roasted chicken. Dark plums,dates. Treacle.\rA hint of liquorice.

Palate: Round,smooth. Surprising sweetness. Dried fruit (sultanas,dates). Bitter chocolate.

Finish: Long,with a dry bitterness and spicy chocolate.

Comment: A well-balanced dram. Sherry signs it but not in an assertive way.
