Nose
Intense, rich and deep oak. Antique furniture. Sherry print. Dried fruit. Raisins and prunes. Oak is in the front but well integrated. On time, a floral note. Heady flowers like lily. Complex, elegant. In the back, a mineral note of chalk like in Grande C.
Palate
Dry and crisp. Oak comes on the front with a definite astringency. Lots of liquorice. Dried fruit.
Finish
Lingering, dry, astringent.
Comment
A powerful and elegant whisky, on the oaky side, especially on the palate, but well integrated. With an obvious sherry signature.
