Nose

Nose prickle from the ABV. Sharp, sour tangerine, raspberry and star fruit, plus lots of spice – rye bread and anise in particular – then pecan pie.

Palate

Plasticky mouthfeel. Sour fruits give way to tropical fresh banana. Distinctly spiky, hot, numbing spice attacks on the mid-palate, sour pickled gherkin tempers it, then warm toffee sauce is drizzled on vanilla ice cream.

Finish

A big bowl of banana custard.

Big, ballsy and unapologetic. Water struggled to temper this beast.
