Nose

Smells almost thick. Buttermilk pancakes, with lots of added butter, strawberries and maple syrup on top along with a bit of struck match and burnt cake notes.

Palate

Wonderful mouthfeel. Thick and oily. Just a bit of background smoky / sulphur, along with more up-front spice, brown sugar, raisins and cake. Reminds of Welsh cakes but with red fruits.\n

Finish

Tacky, sweetness that sticks to back of palate, along with a mid-palate dash of struck matches and cream.\n

Comment

Sweetness balanced out by that hint of struck matches and something savoury.
