Tasting Notes

Gavin Smith

Taster

Nose: Gentle, with heather, mild ginger, apricots and malt.

Palate: Smooth, sweetly fruity, nicely balanced. Soft fruit notes become more pronounced.

Finish: Medium length, slightly oaky.\n

Comment: By no means a bad dram, but a little bitter in the finish.

Score: 7.9

Joe Bates

Taster

Nose: A drop of water is needed to open some gentle citrus and honey notes.

Palate: It has quite a creamy mouth-feel. Caramel, vanilla and honey jostle for attention with the alcohol heat, but not too much else is going on here.

Finish: A medium-length finish, mostly sweet.

Comment: A little underwhelming. The flavours feel a bit muddled and undeveloped and the relatively high strength delivers a burn which needs taming.
