Tasting Notes

Nose

A trace of sulphur makes for a discordant opening, but there is a big malt character, clean and sweet, which makes amends.

Palate

Again, immediately malt-sweet and intense with soft, chewy cream toffee depth. A little grapey fruitiness also in evidence.

Finish

Very long; malty with delicate spice. Excellent sweet/dry balance.

Comment

Quite exceptional for its age and pretty complex too. But loses marks for the poor nose.
