Nose
Restrained at first. Then a heavy liquorice note swirls up alongside with floral notes. Clover honey, meadow flowers. Hint of angelica.
Palate
Sweet at first but very soon the oak grip takes it to the bitter side. Overcooked caramel. Tangy, dry. Slightly bitter.
Finish
Woody, spicy.
Comment
The nose is enticing but the palate is overwhelmed by the wood. And water exacerbates the astringency.
