Nose

Full-on whisky rancio. Shoe polish and strangely candy. Hint of mincemeat which then shifts to molasses and a hint of sarsaparilla and dried damask roses. Hugely complex and waxy.

Palate

The palate, unsurprisingly at this age, is tannic-that sarsaparilla edge returns. Quite dense and maybe just too much oak. Palate coating with a nutty undertow. Dry but has class.

Finish

Fades into ash.
