Tasting Notes

Nose

Tangy, spirity. Creamy when aerated. Dates, figs. Marzipan. Black pepper.

Palate

Biting, fizzy mouthfeel. A lot of toffee and dark chocolate.

Finish

Dry, liquoriced and peppery. Turns quite bitter. Wood is blatantly overpowering.

Comment

The unusually high strength of this 23 Years Old malt makes it taste younger. Water tames the spirit but heightens woodiness. Lacks delicacy.
