Nose
Acetone, fresh pine resin, redcurrants and slightly fermenting strawberries,\rcoupled with some mineral notes and hot slate.
Palate
Burnt chocolate, orange zest, some woody spice and a slight creaminess\ron the back palate.
Finish
The zest sticks to the palate and steadfastly refuses to let go.
Comment
This has some characterful notes, but not enough to raise it into the echelons of other whiskies of comparable age.
