Nose

Initially very slightly rubbery, then treacle emerges. Earthy, with underlying floral notes, particularly strong in violets.

Palate

Rich and full-bodied. Voluptuous with gingersnaps, malt, warm oak and Jaffa oranges.

Finish

Relatively long, with dark, spicy malt and a sprinkling of cocoa powder.

Comment

A confident, well-rounded cask strength expression from an often underrated distillery.
