Tasting Notes

Dave Broom

Taster

Nose: Huge, sweet and heavy. Lots of muscovado sugar, hot gorse, honey flapjacks, plum skin. Loads of oak but a fresh broom (plant) note. Mature, but with a mysterious sense of decay at the heart of this loveliness.

Palate: Smooth and fat. Toasted almond drenched in honey, ripe peaches some sweet dried fruits and scented woods.

Finish: Ripe, smooth and dry.

Comment: Aberfeldy on steroids.

Score: 8.9

Taster

Nose: Enticing and bold. It lures you in with the promise of fresh baked oat cakes, heathland flowers in bloom and some dark fruits.

Palate: Layers of baclava, runny honey and pastries. Dried apricots and mango.

Finish: Lush and lovely.

Comment: More of this please...Aberfeldy showing its class.
