Nose
Very oak driven with dominating aromas of warm sandalwood, vanilla and cheap, crumbly milk chocolate, but there’s also blackcurrant fruit pastilles, toasted hazelnuts and nutmeg.
Palate
Juicy dried fruit like fat sultanas, with caramelised apples and blackcurrant jam. A dry, tingly oak spice develops into the fizzing sherbet centre of flying saucers as the fruit intensifies alongside plain chocolate.
Finish
A touch dry but fruity and tingly.
Comment
Rich, round and satisfying whisky. One for the evenings.
