ABV: 40%
Age: 15 Years Old
Style: Single Malt
Country: Scotland
Region: Speyside
Overall
Score
8.2
Nose
Initially quite crisp with a fairly hot nose burn and citric. Seems strangely immature with very faint sherried notes.
Palate
A creamy centre, but everything is muted.
Finish
A little short with minty tones.
Comment
Easily drowned with water. The standard 15 Years Old is stunning, but this just seems gawky and awkward. There are so many Aberlour variants on the market - I'm getting mightily confused.
