Glen Grant Distillery
Holds up very well in the middle but the woodiness at the end is overpowering.
1969, 31 Years Old
Nose: Fudge. Raisins. Toasted nuts. Soft peatiness.
Palate: Smooth. Juicy oak. Richly nutty. Caramel.
Finish: Peat and woodiness combine in a very bitter departure. Somewhat astringent.
Comment: Holds up very well in the middle but the woodiness at the end is overpowering.
Nose: Big, big sherry. Bursting with grape and cherry.
Palate: Richest, cleanest and naturally sweetest arrival of sherry notes you could ever encounter.
Finish: A dash of fresh malt and honeycomb keeps the vanilla in check.
Comment: Clean, complex and complete. Brilliant.
