Nose

Spicy! Turmeric, cardamom, cracked black peppercorn, even a hint of hot sauce. Jalapeño poppers (stuffed with cream cheese). Then cinnamon latte, subtle caramel biscuit, and orange-cream chocolates.

Palate

Medium bodied. Black pepper and slightly medicinal cardamom. Basil and thyme emerge, with caramel, hot stem ginger, and soft sponge flan.

Finish

Fairly short, with the spices, herbs, and tannins drying it out.

An unusually spicy malt that could be put to creative use in cocktails.
