Nose

Roasted chestnuts, honey-glazed ham, quince, and delicate sweet pastry with mincemeat. Cantaloupe and honeysuckle, a somewhat white wine-like character. A dollop of custard, too.

Palate

Creamy, with intense vanilla, candied peels, subtle clove and some more sweet shortcrust pastry.

Finish

Dries gently, with some green apple skin. Medium length.

Comment

A mince pie and custard, with a glass of sweet white wine on the side. Showing promise.
