Nose

A warm library in summer with aromas of wood polish or wax and some dusty books. There’s a touch of lemony honey, a bit of red fruit, and old smoke.

Palate

Gentle soft smoke underlays notes of wood polish, vanilla, baked apples, and lavender.

Finish

Quite tannic towards the back of palate, with a medium length finish and gentle smoke.

Comment

A pleasant enough whisky with more smoke on the palate than expected from the nose.
