Nose
Earthy and peaty, like freshly turned turf, with light medicinal notes over the top. A little malted milk ball and vanilla syrup, with subtle orchard fruit notes and a little beeswax. Very subtle petrolic note.
Palate
Light-medium bodied. The earthy peat notes hold court, with some smouldering barbecue embers. Hints of apricot and peach preserves, well-cooked ‘eggy bread’, and used coffee grounds.
Finish
Medium-long. Continuing peat and a slightly waxy floral note.
Comment
A skilful show of peat’s different shades.
