Nose

Sweet peat, heather honey and eucalyptus. Cloves and Five Spice. Toffee fudge, milk chocolate, sultanas and cinnamon.

Palate

Vibrant peat, balanced with heather honey and cinnamon. Syrup, vanilla, raisins. Subtleties fade, and becomes blunter –(lovely) peat, apricots, orchard fruits and nutmeg.

Finish

Mid-length to short, but oily and slightly peppery; walnuts and chocolate.

A classic example of this sort.The kind of approachable Islay that will end up charming most.
