Nose

Printer ink and woody scented candle. Then banana foam sweets and crystallised pineapple. Blinis, crab apple, sour cream, and a little moss and sappy pine.

Palate

Medium bodied. Sourdough and parsley butter. Toffee apple, caramel-coated popcorn, Victoria plum, lemon-flavoured boiled sweets, black pepper, and a tiny hint of black truffle.

Finish

Medium, with sponge cake, elderflower syrup, and black tea.

Comment

A nicely balanced and nuanced whisky.
