Overall
Score
9.2
Nose
Similar to the 16 Years Old, though with greater elegance and maturity: more biscuity notes, saddles, dried fruits, demerara, sultana cake, roasted chestnut.
Palate
Mature: bung cloth, spices galore. Good full mouthfeel with fine tannic grip, toffee, and a sweet, yet nutty balance.
Finish
Toffee - then goes on forever.
Comment
Subtle, nuanced and complex.
