Tasting Notes

Nose

Woody. Sour. Cider cellar. Touch of cedar wood. Musty. Damp walls.

Palate

Starts with a touch of sweetness. quickly swept by that harsh bitter oakiness and a tangy dryness. Some\rspices, then soothes on sweeter notes.

Finish

Not as dry and woody as expected. Hint of cappuccino and roasted nuts.

Comment

You have got to like woody whiskies to drink this one. Has gone over the top for me. Certainly an old whisky but too long a maturation made it grumpy. Water kills it.
