Score
7.5
Nose
Young, sweet, slightly under-ripe and malty. The peat is surprisingly subdued.
Palate
Enormously sweet to begin, with an almost gristy, mealy presence. Dries out towards the middle but the peat appears light and clean.
Finish
Surprisingly long with the peat at last gathering forces. Very little complexity or direction.
Comment
An almost teasing Islay, with peat but never really taking off. Never more than pleasant.
