Nose

Slow to open at first then those old familiar Islay notes appear. Smoked fish and briny warm stones. Standing outside the distillery when the peak reek is on, malty and Lapsang Suchong tea. There is the sweetness of watermelon.

Palate

Blood orange juice sweetness and that little bitter edge, then the smoke unfurls. Hot smoked salmon. The herbal quality of rosemary and the fattiness of roast lamb.

Finish

Sweet, smoky.
